    Head Coach - Chris Francklyn

Head Coach Chris Francklyn (on the right), wants to build a CJC team that can compete at higher levels.  His vision is to is to provide an opportunity to a broad spectrum of high school students to learn how to row and give them the chance to compete athletically at the collegiate level.  Chris is a third generation rower. His father and grandfather supported and encouraged his rowing career at the University of Colorado. He hopes to provide that same support and encouragement to Boulder County high school students.  A senior at the University of Colorado, studying Mechanical Engineering with a Biomedical Engineering emphasis, Chris also serves as team president for the CU rowing team.  As a type-1 diabetic, rowing is an integral part of his life. He hopes that through his experiences with rowing, he can inspire other diabetics to learn to push themselves athletically regardless of their limitations. His dream job is to work with prosthetics in the field of adaptive athletics. In his spare time, Chris is an avid skier, and is passionate about anything related to the outdoors. Assistant Coach - Adam Swetlik

Adam Swetlik (on the left) is an assistant coach with the Colorado Junior Crew and the newly appointed Head Coach for the Univeristy of Colorado rowing program.  CJC is lucky to have a rower with Adam's enthusiasm and height.  Adam has been involved with CJC since 2009 and served as Head Coach in 2010.  Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin Adam had no rowing experience prior to enrolling at CU. Despite this he helped lead his team to top ten success in the Men's Collegiate Club world, graduating as captain in 2010, with a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, having spent all four years as a rowing Buffalo.  Adam loves working with kids and introducing new rowers to the fun of crew.  He hopes to continue to build and influence both programs in the coming years. Anneke Claypool, CJC coach and former University of Colorado rowing team Vice President, loves the sport of rowing because it is competitive, challenging and creates tight-knit teams. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm! She particularly enjoys helping to guide young women into this exciting and empowering sport.  A graduating senior from the University of Colorado at Boulder, majoring in International Affairs and Mathematics, Anneke rowed for CU for four years. During that time, she rowed stroke for the Women's Varsity Four that placed 2nd in the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Championship and 3rd in the American Collegian Rowing Association National Regatta in 2009. In her spare time, Anneke likes to dance, travel, and train for triathlons.

Assistant Coach - Stefan Pieterse

Stefan Pieterse, (wearing the hat) a veteran collegiate rower, knows how to move a boat.  During the summer of 2011, he medaled at the US Rowing Elite Nationals and was a "trialist" for the US U23 coxless pair. He was elected captain of University of Colorado's Crew team for his junior and senior seasons.  Stefan also attended US Rowing Summer Development programs at the University of Wisconsin and the ACRA All Star U-23 Camp in Ann-Arbor coached by Gregg Hartsuff (veteran Head Coach of the University of Michigan Men's Rowing Team). During his sophomore spring he was in the famous CU Varsity 4, taking first place at 2010 WIRAs (Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta). Stefan was thrust into the varsity boat at CU his freshman year having the second fastest erg on his team.
